Process:
Started off by creating a 3D scan of my subject using a 3D scanning app on iPhone called Polycam. I then took that scan, imported it into Blender, and cut out a face mesh to use in Unreal Engine.
Using tracking markers, I was able to get my subjects dinstinct features down to a T. Using the mesh to Metahuman feature, I then was able to create a model matching her likeness.
Using Blender's hair and particle system I created custom hair to match the subject's unique hair style.
I then created clothes for the model using Marvelous Designer and then imported it into Unreal.
Needing a location I made, based off a real life location in my neighborhood. I took several pictures of this location to use for texture reference as well. I modeled this location in Blender, and used the texture paint feature in Blender as well as Substance Painter for smaller details like dirt and various touch-ups.
I then imported the scene from Blender into Unreal, adjusted the lighting, and created my own shader to display the image on the TV.
